| Special congratulations are due "Pop" Squatch (Grayson Samples), who is the proud father of a new baby girl. We just had to mention that first. If you come to hear Grass-Squatch play here at the inn, it's likely to feel very much like a family gathering. C'mon in anyway, and you'll soon find yourself among great friends. Jane Birdsong, long a friend of the BrazenHead, cruised into a Potomac Highlands music venue in February 2002 to find Jay McClung, Richard Stutler and Grayson Samples sittin’, pickin’ and grinnin’ "just like old times."
McClung, Stutler and Samples and joined by Josh Moody, the "Monsters
of Bluegrass" now known as Grass-Squatch, have been playing together
for many moons, she wrote in the Charleston alternative magazine
Grafitti, "and the tunes just
keep on flowing, sounding sweeter in harmonies and stronger in arrangement.
Some songs you know (and can sing along) and some are amazing originals."
We enjoy the bluegrass/newgrass sound of Grass-Squatch as much as Jane does. We think you will, too.
